General public courses

Woodworking like pros… just for fun!

The École d’ébénisterie d’art de Montréal offers a unique array of general public courses and workshops in woodworking. They are offered «à la carte» (you choose only the courses that interest you) and are focused on discovery and practical learning (non-degree training). Courses are taught in small groups by qualified artisans, with professional equipment. Classes are held on week evenings, as well as on Saturdays and Sundays during the day. On top of making projects, you will learn through them to master different woodworking or finishing techniques, to use safely manual or power tools, as well as different machine tools. Please note that you must be 18 years or older to attend.

Our courses are divided into three levels: BEGINNER, INTERMEDIATE and ADVANCED. The majority of courses offered are at the BEGINNER level. They are open to all, without any prerequisites. We currently offer one INTERMEDIATE level course : L’apprenti 2 EN. Unfortunately, for the moment, we only offer an ADVANCED course in French : L’apprentie 3.
