Cursus Tournage EN • Woodturning learning program

CO-LINGUAL PROGRAM

A 4-step program to learn woodturning, from basics to furniture making

The Cursus Tournage EN allows you to learn the essential techniques of woodturning through hands-on and creative projects, even with no prior experience. This program brings together 4 complementary courses that cover the fundamentals of turning, the making of functional objects, and the assembly of turned components. Your registration in the program automatically includes all 4 courses.

PLEASE NOTE: This program is co-lingual (French–English), which means that francophone and anglophone participants form a single group and attend the same classes. The trainer adjusts the language of teaching to accommodate the group or alternates between French and English. All participants may speak the language of their choice, and the trainer will make sure that everyone understands the content.

It is not necessary to be bilingual to register, but basic understanding of both languages may be helpful. Because this course is based on manual work and individual exploration, it is particularly well suited to this way of working. We consider linguistic diversity an asset, and we ask that you show inclusiveness, kindness, and respect.

Have you already taken one or more courses in the ÉÉAM program?

Would you like to register for the cursus, but have already taken one or more of the ÉÉAM program courses in the past? Unfortunately, you must register individually for the courses you have not taken, and pay the full price.

The Cursus Sculpture EN (40 hours) is still an introduction to woodworking, compared to the technical college program, which is the learning and practice of the trade over a minimum duration of 3 years (1 965 hours).

Participants

Unless otherwise specified, ÉÉAM general public courses are only open to people 18 years of age and older.

As openness and inclusion are essential values for the ÉÉAM, the school strives to accommodate everyone who is interested in cabinetmaking. If you live with a functional limitation and have questions regarding your ability to attend training, please contact us to discuss.
