Introduction to woodworking
BEGINNER CLASS – No prerequisites
Come and craft your own plane, the basic tool for any refined woodworker. In this 12-hour class you will learn to make a hand plane that can be pushed or pulled. You will also learn about the physical properties of wood, especially one species most dear to us: maple. As well, you will be introduced to the bandsaw, table saw, drill press and sanders, as well as your new hand plane! You will leave with a fully functional hand plane, equipped with a blade and ready to make the most beautiful shavings!
