Summer 2021 · Courses and workshops
The École d’ébénisterie d’art de Montréal offers a unique array of general public courses and workshops in woodworking. They are offered «à la carte» (you choose only the courses that interest you) and are focused on discovery and practical learning (non-degree training). Courses are taught in small groups by qualified artisans, on week evenings, as well as on Saturdays and Sundays during the day. On top of making projects, you will learn through them to master different woodworking or finishing techniques, to use safely manual or power tools, as well as different machine tools. Please note that you must be 18 years or older to attend.
Our courses are divided into three levels: BEGINNER, INTERMEDIATE and ADVANCED. We currently offer only BEGINNER level courses. They are open to everyone, without any prerequisites.
The ÉÉAM has put in place the necessary measures to ensure that participants in courses and workshops are provided with a safe and enjoyable experience. You will receive details of the rules to follow (wearing the mask, washing hands, etc.) in the booking confirmation email sent a minimum of 2 days before your training is scheduled.
Customized Courses and Workshops
The ÉÉAM also offers customized courses and workshops. You wish to receive some specific training not part of the regular program? We can develop a customized course adapted to your needs. Minimum of six participants required for a customized course. Contact us.
